Oskarshamn Municipality has one of the world's most beautiful archipelagos and one of Sweden's least exploited. You will find 5,429 islands with a total beach area of 1,173 km - from Runnö in the south, to Örö in the north. The archipelago is a world of its own with islets and skerries, smooth flat rocks, wooded islands, sounds and bays. The archipelago Urbergsskärgården in Oskarshamn Municipality extends from Misterhult in the north to Vånevik in the south. Here you will find specially adapted plant and animal life, beautiful views and picturesque villages along the coast. There are unlimited opportunities to find your own favorite spot.

Blå Jungfrun - A National Park in Kalmar Sound
Blå Jungfrun - Blåkulla, where the witches flew on their brooms on Holy Thursday, is 86 meters above sea level. The strange granite cupolas bare clear traces of stress from the inland ice and the sea, which have created giant craters and caves. You can take the M/S Solkust from Oskarshamn to Blå Jungfrun. Boat trips June-August.

The ferry service from the mainland to Öland
The car and passenger ferry M/S Solsund will take you between Oskarshamn and Byxelkrok during the summer season. Relax and enjoy the two-hour journey on Kalmar sound. Food is served on the upper deck.

The Gotland ferry
There is a ferry connection from Oskarshamn eastward to the island Gotland. The ferry departs daily and can provide you with a relaxing or an active trip, depending on what you prefer

Archipelago trips for handicapped and older people
On the P/B Holger, a pontoon boat, people who would normally have problems getting out onto the archipelago can make use of this opportunity. The target group is primarily those people who are physically handicapped, irrespective of their age, as well as older people and others who do not have access to a boat, but who would nevertheless at some time, like to see the beautiful archipelago around Figeholm.
